Amber Gilewski Ending Her Position as Secretary

Amber Gilewski, ICAS Secretary since August 2011, took ICAS to a whole new level by balancing our budget, aiding in fundraising, establishing an online account and assisting with organization of the  2012 11th Annual North American Conference for Critical Animal Studies that was hosted Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

She will be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best with her new endeavors.

Amber Gilewski is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York. She has experience teaching in China and Taiwan and working for several years in the mental health field. Areas of interest to her include veganism, environmentalism, animal rights, human rights, feminism, and comic relief. She has taught workshops on looking at the relationship between vegetarianism, environmentalism, and animal rights. She currently is teaching a new course on Environmental Psychology. She loves to cook and bake and has her own food blog (with some occasional AR topics). Her dream is to have a vegan bed and breakfast one day. Additionally, she is a volunteer for her local SPCA and rescues cats suffering from feline leukemia.
